Frequently asked questions

What clinics usually ask us before they start: what Nesai measures, what the report looks like, what it costs and how it fits into your practice.

What Nesai is and what it measures

What the software does with your ultrasound images, and what you get in the report.

What is facial ultrasound with AI and how does it work?

You scan with your own ultrasound machine, upload the images and Nesai interprets them. We send you back a report with the internal structure of the skin, previous fillers and the parameters of the dermis.

How is it different from a camera-based skin analyzer?

A camera sees the surface: spots, pores and wrinkles. Ultrasound sees the internal structure of the skin and the fillers underneath it, which a camera cannot see, and Nesai shows how those spots, pores and wrinkles translate into the structure of the skin.

What ultrasound machine do I need?

The one you already have in your practice, as long as it has a linear probe. Nesai is not an ultrasound machine: it is the software that interprets the images from yours.

What does Nesai Face measure, and what does Nesai Derm measure?

Nesai Face analyzes the hypodermis and identifies, among other parameters, patterns associated with hyaluronic acid, permanent implants and structural changes. Nesai Derm quantifies parameters such as dermal thickness, echogenicity, SLEB, collagen density, extracellular matrix and photoaging. Both come in the same subscription.

Does it detect old or unknown fillers?

Yes. Nesai detects old or unknown fillers, providing information on their presence and characteristics to support the medical assessment.

Clinical judgment

What role the report plays, and who decides on treatment.

Does it replace clinical judgment?

No. The report gives you objective data. Whether to treat, and how, is still your call.

In your practice, and what it costs

How Nesai fits into your day, and what the patient goes through.

What preparation does the patient need?

Clean skin, with no makeup or creams on the area you are going to scan. If your clinic follows its own preparation protocol, go with that one.

Is it painful or invasive?

No. It is an ultrasound scan: non-invasive and painless.

How does it integrate into the clinic?

All you need is an internet connection. You upload the images from your ultrasound machine, the report is generated during the consultation and you keep an objective record of before and after.

Do I need ultrasound experience?

You do not need to be an expert. With any plan you get an online onboarding session with our team, and the annual plan includes Nesai Academy, the training to learn how to capture quality ultrasound images, use Nesai and bring its results into your practice.

How much does it cost?

A single subscription that includes Nesai Face and Nesai Derm. You will find the current price on the Nesai Face page. See plans

Is there a minimum commitment?

The monthly subscription has no minimum commitment: you can cancel it with one month of notice. The annual plan has its own contract terms.
